| Rock 'n Roll Sax Quartet 1950s and 60s music Masterclass/Play-Along CD by Skip Spratt ![]() |
Welcome to this Rock ‘n Roll Saxophone Quartet Masterclass for Saxophone Journal. That’s right. I said, “rock ‘n roll Saxophone Quartet.” The saxophone quartet has long been a source of practice and performance opportunities for many saxophonists and many styles of music. Most saxophone quartet pieces featured in this magazine and elsewhere are rooted in French classical tradition or American jazz. The “virtual” quartet presented here is based in the tradition of original 1950’s and 1960’s rock ‘n roll. You have been warned. |
